RosterLab ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the RosterLab mobile application (the "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App includes:

A. Personal Data

When you register for an account or are invited by your organization, we may collect personally identifiable information, such as:

Name: To identify you within your organization's roster.
Email Address: For authentication, account management, and sending important notifications.
Job Role and Organization: To properly assign you to rosters and chat groups.

B. User-Generated Content

Chat Messages: We store chat messages you send within the App's team chat feature to display them to your organization's members.
Roster & Leave Data: Any shift preferences, leave requests, or swap requests you submit.

C. Automatically Collected Data

When you access the App, we may automatically collect certain information, including your device type, operating system, and App usage data, which helps us improve the App's functionality.

2. Third-Party Services & Advertising

We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the App. AdMob may use device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and usage data to provide personalized ads. You can opt-out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings (e.g., opting out of Ads Personalization in your Google account settings).

Supabase: We use Supabase for secure database hosting, authentication, and real-time chat functionality. Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:

Create and manage your account.
Facilitate team communication via the ChatRoom feature.
Deliver targeted advertising to you via Google AdMob.
Notify you of schedule changes, unread messages, or roster updates.
Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations:

With Your Organization: Your name, role, schedule, and chat messages are visible to other members of your organization within the App as part of its core functionality.
Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your data with third-party vendors (like Supabase and AdMob) who perform services for us or on our behalf.
By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process or to investigate/remedy potential violations of our policies.

5. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data and chat messages for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services through your organization.

Message Deletion: You have the ability to delete your own chat messages within a 5-minute window after sending.
Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and associated data by contacting your organization's administrator or contacting us directly.
